Yorozu (
Appearance
Yorozu was a tall woman with an athletic build, fair skin, and light-colored eyes. She had long dark hair, and thick eyebrows which were slightly rounded on the inner sides. One thousand years ago Yorozu preferred to be in the nude and hardly wore clothing. On the day she met Sukuna, Yorozu only wore an untied haori.
Yorozu was incarnated in Tsumiki Fushiguro's body for the Culling Game and decided not to warp her appearance. She wore Tsumiki's face and donned combat attire for her fight with Sukuna. Yorozu sported a sleeveless dark body suit with loose light-colored pants that tucked into boots. She also had dark armbands connected to a wing-like cloth also attached to Yorozu's back.
Personality
Yorozu was a confident, wild, and brash-natured woman who acted only to satisfy herself. The well-mannered gentlemen of the Heian capital referred to Yorozu as a hick. This is not only due to her being from the rural land of Aizu, but because Yorozu behaved in an inelegant and obnoxious manner. She had no regard for formalities and had little familiarity with popular traditions. Yorozu preferred not to wear clothes and paid little attention to her attendant warnings for her to be more refined while attending formal gatherings. She was unrepentant of her behavior and didn't care if her attendant was punished constantly for it, stating they should simply be used to it by now.
Yorozu's obsession with Sukuna began at first sight and her immediate desire was to alleviate his loneliness with her love. She wanted to be the one who killed Sukuna to take his solitude for herself.[2] Like the other incarnated sorcerers of her era, Yorozu agreed to the Culling Game to fight with the strongest opponents possible, namely Sukuna. Even after a thousand years, Yorozu's primary desire remained finding and kill Sukuna to teach him about love. She always believed that she could show him the strength and solitude that comes with love. Yorozu refused to believe anyone else could do such a thing for Sukuna and was intent on performing the act using all her heart.[3]
Yorozu was self-serving and cared little for anyone other than herself, including Megumi Fushiguro or his sister. She inhabited Tsumiki's body and adopted her personality to fool Megumi to further her ends. As Yorozu revealed herself to Megumi, she laughed while claiming to be his older sister just to taunt him, taking pleasure in his misery.
Upon reuniting with Sukuna, Yorozu talked to him about her love and proposed they get married if she defeated him. Sukuna agreed and the prospect of betrothal to him drove Yorozu wild with enthusiasm. She became overwhelmed with joy and expressed several fantasies involving marrying the King of Curses. She wanted to destroy three villages, make shrunken heads of each village's most handsome man, and enjoy monkey-brain soup in celebration.[4]
Yorozu disliked fighting against Sukuna's vessel's technique and wanted him to use his own technique to defeat her. She was so upset that she threw a temper tantrum, crying and yelling in defiance. She told Sukuna he couldn't touch his future wife with someone else's cursed technique because she wasn't into that kind of "kinky" stuff. She was insulted that Sukuna believed he could win without his Shrine and wanted him to cut into her with it so he could see her love with his own eyes.[5][6] Even in defeat, Yorozu was happy Sukuna took note of her power, shedding tears of joy at the end of her life and leaving him with a keepsake to remind him of her.[7]
Abilities and Powers
Overall Abilities: Yorozu was a powerful sorcerer of the Heian era, the golden age of jujutsu. She made a name for herself in a time period when the strongest fighters boasted incredible cursed techniques. She was on par with these sorcerers despite her technique being far less efficient in its consumption of cursed energy than average. However, as a battle-hardened veteran of the Heian era, Yorozu used her combat experiences to figure out a way to work around her deficiencies. She invented clever solutions to her problem that resulted in a fighting style that bested the Five Empty Generals of the Toh, garnering Yorozu official recognition from the Fujiwara clan.[8][9]
During the Culling Game, Yoruzu was able to fight on nearly even terms with Sukuna after Ryu Ishigori, a powerful sorcerer in his own right, was dispatched instantly by him. Their battle was initially competitive, where Yorozu landed several direct hits and stood against the Ten Shadows Technique.[10] She displayed the full strength of her Construction technique as well as the ability to expand her domain. However, Yorozu was unable to force Sukuna to use his own innate technique and she was ultimately bested by the full might of Megumi's Ten Shadows Technique.[11]
