Jujutsu Kaisen Wiki

Takako Uro ( () () (たか) () Uro Takako?) is a character in the Jujutsu Kaisen series. She is a jujutsu sorcerer from a thousand years ago who was incarnated by Kenjaku for the Culling Game. In her first life, Takako Uro was the captain of the Sun, Moon, and Stars Squad, a group of assassins affiliated with the Fujiwara Family.

Appearance

Takako is a woman with a fit build, lightly tanned skin, and long pink hair that she usually manipulates to jut upward, keeping it in the same shape as it would be if her body was upside-down. She has thin eyebrows and large eyes with black sclera and dark pink irises.

Takako doesn't wear any clothes at all other than her accessories. She sports two matching bracelets on both her wrists, thick hoop earrings, and a choker around her neck. Rather than use clothing, Takako uses her cursed technique to cover the private sections of her otherwise exposed body by making them appear translucent.

Personality

Takako Uro angry

Takako's temper.

Takako is a proud, dedicated, and hot-blooded woman with deadly focus and a serious temper. She was a loyal and devoted assassin of the Toh and felt betrayed by them in her first life after they sacrificed her as a proxy.[2] As a result, Takako carries many regrets into her new life and wants to take advantage of it by excelling in the Culling Game, even if it means mindlessly slaughtering other people.[3] However, Takako has pride as a sorcerer and won't target non-combatants to score additional points because of it.[4]

Takako Uro annoyed with Yuta

Takako associating Yuta with the Toh and refusing to listen to him.

While Takako is normally a calculated and attentive individual, she is quick to anger and has sadistic tendencies. Like most sorcerers from past eras, Takako revels in battle but she also enjoys toying with her enemies. Takako relies only on herself and lashes out at anything that impedes her progress with rage and ferocity.

Yuta Okkotsu, who can't understand someone desperately killing people, is especially annoying to Takako in particular. One conversation was enough to remind Takako of the Toh and enrage her. While she is not completely blind to her rage, Takako refuses to try to reach an understanding and words with her only lead to violence. Yuta tried to tell Takako that acting selfishly will only bring her so far, but she associated this with the ideology of the Toh and rejected him.[5] Takako believes that only people who have achieved something for themselves can live for others.[6] She finds Yuta's sentiments to be sanctimonious and believes people who believe themselves superior have always tried to stifle her potential.[7]

Abilities and Powers

Overall Skill Level: Takako is an exceptional fighter even by the standards of incarnated jujutsu sorcerers. She was the leader of a group of elite assassins that served a respected sorcerer clan in a much more prominent and violent era of jujutsu.

Takako has retained her strength in her second life. She is one of the highest-scoring players in the early stages of the Culling Game while fighting in one of its most violent colonies. She scored seventy points in twelve days and her abilities forced a deadlock with other elite players, the likes of Dhruv, Kurourushi, and Ryu Ishigori.[8]

Takako possesses expert close combat skills complimented by her cursed technique and is a master of counterattacking. Her ability to manipulate space makes her a complex fighter to engage even Yuta Okkotsu, a prodigy among modern sorcerers, had difficulty combating her directly. She warped one of his punches and then countered by hitting him with an elbow followed by a blastwave from her cursed technique.[9] Yuta was even unable to land a solid hit on Takako without utilizing Rika and his ability to use copied cursed techniques. Takako's skills also proved to be a bad matchup for Ryu, a player who directly rivals her level of strength. Takako easily took on Ryu's best attack and then sent it back at him, becoming the first person to hit him with his own cursed energy output.[10]

High Tactical Intellect: Takako is an opportunist who strikes when her chances of victory are at their highest. She was trapped in a deadlock in Sendai because she recognized Kurourushi's abilities put her at a disadvantage. As soon as Kurourushi was exorcised by Yuta, she moved in on the exhausted sorcerer and surprise attacked him.[11] Her opportunistic nature was also shown when she surprised Yuta again, attacking him after he was sent flying by Ryu.[12]

Takako also has advanced knowledge of jujutsu, able to instantly recognize the snake eyes and fangs of cursed speech.[13] This helped her recognize that Yuta wasn't simply a cursed speech user with the ability to summon Shikigami as well. After getting hit by several different moves, Takako realized that Yuta's true ability was the power to copy other cursed techniques.[14] When she activated domain expansion at the same time as Yuta and Ryu, both she and the latter knew to form their barries quickly to prevent Rika from entering and giving Yuta the initiative.[15]

Advanced Endurance: In addition to her elite martial arts talent and jujutsu ability, Takako is resilient and possesses advanced stamina as well. She displayed her toughness when she withstood a barrage of hard punches from both Yuta and Rika while immobilized by cursed speech unable to defend herself.[16] Immediately after, Takako was able to counter one of Yuta's shikigami and despite getting hit by their trajectory constituted domain, Takako retained enough stamina and cursed energy to activate her own domain.[17] Even after her arm was severed by Kurourushi, Takako was ready to continue fighting despite the exhaustion and injuries she accumulated throughout the extended battle.[18]

Jujutsu

Cursed Energy Manipulation
Immense Cursed Energy: Prior to her incarnation, Takako was a cursed object that retained cursed energy for over a thousand years. In her current vessel, Takako possess a high volume of cursed energy she can utilize continously through repeated use of her cursed technique without exhausting herself. Takako can also perform domain expansion, which requires exceptional levels of cursed energy and control over it. After using her domain, Takako's cursed technique couldn't properly activate but she still had enough cursed energy to make an attempt at it.[19]
Innate Technique
Takako Uro controlling the sky Sky Manipulation: Takako's technique grants her the ability to control the "sky" ( (そら) sora?) like a tangible "surface" ( (めん) men?). By grabbing hold of and pulling the surrounding atmosphere as if it were a solid sheet or cloak, Takako effectively controls space akin to how a lens creates distortion. She casually uses this to levitate and to cloak her nude body as an alternative to clothing. In battle, Takako can defend by distorting the shape of her opponent's attacks. While the surfaces she controls can't crush her opponents directly, Takako can break the surface of the sky like a thin layer of ice and hit her target with the consequent impact. This allows her attacks to slip past her opponent's guard and generate massive destruction.[20][21] (Unnamed)
Thin Ice Breaker ( () () () () Usurabi?): Takako applies her technique offensively by hitting the surface of the sky, not her opponent directly. She hits the surface layer of the sky and shatters it like thin ice, striking her opponent with that effect. As with all extension techniques, this move is a concentrated application of Takako's offense, allowing her to strike her opponent with a focused shockwave.[21] Thin Ice Breaker
Domain Expansion
Triple Domain Expansion Takako possess the ability to cast domain expansion but the details of her innate domain and her can't miss function are entirely unknown. When she used it at the same time as Yuta and Ryu, the barrier came apart before any of their domains were fully realized.[22]
