Nobara Kugisaki vs. Cursed Spirits is a battle that takes place in the Eishu Detention Center when Nobara is ambushed by countless cursed spirits in the dark.
Prologue
Nobara, Megumi, and Yuji are tasked with confirming five survivors inside building 2 of the Eishu Detention Center in West Tokyo City. They enter a Domain created from cursed energy and find three deformed corpses inside.

Nobara suddenly slips into a pool of darkness.
Beforehand, a woman asks for the students to save her son, which Yuji and Nobara agreed to. However, Yuji confirms that one of them is the son of a woman outside, shocking Nobara.
Yuji tries to bring his body back to the mother, but Megumi stops him and reminds the team they still have to confirm two more victims. They start arguing with one another about what is the right thing to do and Nobara tries to break it up.
Suddenly, Nobara falls through a black puddle, entering a completely different space than the one she was in alongside Megumi and Yuji.[1] Nobara ends up in a pitch-black area where she can't see anything at all. Even so, she can sense a curse nearby and turns around to discover that numerous curses have surrounded her.[2]
Battle
- The details from the beginning of this battle are unknown.
Nobara is ambushed by the cursed spirits but she manages to exorcise the majority of them. However, she takes moderate damage and her hammer is broken in half. Mushroom-like curses threaten to devour her and she promises to curse them in the afterlife.
Suddenly, Megumi's Great Snake appears and destroys the curse, freeing Nobara from its grip.[3]
Aftermath

Megumi rescues Nobara.
Nobara falls and she's grabbed by a frog's tongue. She's been saved by Megumi, but she complains about disliking frogs while his familiar takes her into its mouth for protection.[4] Megumi takes Nobara away and escapes the Domain, handing her over to Kiyotaka Ijichi, who helps her walk away.
With Nobara and Megumi out safely, the latter uses his dog to signal Yuji, who's combating the special grade curse. [5]
