History[]
Gojo's Past Arc[]
Geto finds Mimiko and Nanako.
Mimiko Hasaba was born in 2002 as the twin sister of Nanako Hasaba. Like their parents, both girls possessed above-average cursed energy, granting them the ability to see curses and use jujutsu. However, the villagers in their community discriminated against the sisters because of their unusual powers.
Mimiko and Nanako learn about Geto's past with Gojo.
In September 2007, Mimiko and Nanako were captured, beaten, and imprisoned by the villagers, who falsely believed the twins were responsible for the abnormal deaths and mysterious disappearances in the village. Suguru Geto was dispatched to handle the situation. After exorcising the curse responsible for the incidents, Geto was brought before the twins by the villagers, who blamed the girls and urged him to kill them. Witnessing the mistreatment of sorcerers, Geto resolved to kill all non-sorcerers. He massacred the entire village to save Mimiko and Nanako and took them under his care.[1]
Shortly afterward, Mimiko and Nanako watched as Geto took control of the Star Religious Group and murdered Shigeru Sonoda.[2] Years later, Mimiko sat quietly beside Geto while Nanako brushed his hair, asking him about Satoru Gojo.[3]
Cursed Child Arc[]
Mimiko watches Geto declare war against Jujutsu High.
In 2017, Mimiko was summoned to a meeting with Geto, along with the other commanders of their "family." During the gathering, Geto announced his plan to destroy Jujutsu High and usher in the age of sorcerers.
After the meeting, Mimiko accompanied Geto to Tokyo Jujutsu High alongside Nanako and Larue. Upon arriving, she commented on Nanako's rude remark and later witnessed Geto declare war on Jujutsu High, unveiling his plan to release a thousand curses in Shinjuku and Kyoto on December 24. Following Geto's declaration, Mimiko left with the other curse users to visit a crepe shop on Takeshita Street.[4]
Mimiko and Nanako make their appearance at the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons.
On the night of December 24, Mimiko and Nanako hid inside one of Geto's cursed spirits in Shinjuku. After receiving the signal from Manami Suda to begin the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons, the twins emerged from the cursed spirit and began attacking sorcerers.[5] Using their cursed techniques, they killed three assistant managers before confronting Kiyotaka Ijichi. When Ijichi tried to reason with them, the twins refused to listen and were about to attack him. However, they were interrupted when Miguel Oduol crashed into a nearby building during his battle with Satoru Gojo. Mimiko was stunned by Gojo’s immense power when he casually exorcised a giant cursed spirit using Cursed Technique Reversal: Red.[6]
Later, as the Night Parade concluded, Mimiko managed to escape with the remaining members of Geto's commanders.[7]
Shibuya Incident Arc[]
Mimiko and Nanako confront Pseudo-Geto about their deal.
Sometime after Geto's body was taken over by Pseudo-Geto, the remaining commanders, except for Miguel, convened to discuss their next course of action. Manami Suda and Toshihisa Negi decided to support the imposter, while Nanako and Mimiko refused to cooperate with the entity controlling their master. This disagreement nearly escalated into a fight, but Larue intervened and stopped them. Larue convinced everyone to part ways peacefully, reminding them that they would always remain a family.[8]
Before the Shibuya Incident, Mimiko and Nanako reluctantly agreed to cooperate with Pseudo-Geto, who promised to return Geto's body to them if they helped kill non-sorcerers during the attack. After Gojo was sealed in the Prison Realm and the cursed spirits departed, Mimiko and Nanako confronted Pseudo-Geto, demanding that he fulfill his promise. However, Pseudo-Geto reneged on the deal, mocking the sisters for not making a binding vow that would have compelled him to honor the agreement. He then threatened to kill them unless they left. The sisters swore revenge before leaving the scene.[9]
Mimiko's head is sliced off by Sukuna.
Later, Mimiko and Nanako found Yuji Itadori unconscious after his fight with Choso.[10] Hoping to have Sukuna eliminate Pseudo-Geto for them, Nanako unwrapped one of Sukuna's fingers and fed it to Yuji while Mimiko stood guard. The presence of the finger attracted Jogo, who arrived at their location and seemingly killed them.[11] However, Mimiko and Nanako survived Jogo's attack thanks to Nanako's cursed technique, which revived them after Jogo fed Yuji an additional ten fingers, awakening Sukuna in the process.
Intimidated by the overwhelmingly evil aura of the King of Curses, Mimiko and Nanako knelt before Sukuna and begged for his help in killing Pseudo-Geto. Nanako promised to reveal the location of another of Sukuna’s fingers if he agreed to their request. Insulted that they dared to make demands of him for something as trivial as a finger, Sukuna responded by using his cursed technique to decapitate Mimiko.[12]
