Maximum: Uzumaki (
Description[]
Cursed Spirit Manipulation - Maximum Technique: Uzumaki combines cursed spirits the curse manipulator has absorbed into one. Uzumaki takes the form of a swirling cursed spirit that levitates behind the user.[1] It darts forward in an instant to hit the target and unleashes a powerful attack of super condensed cursed energy.[2]
At first glance, Uzumaki appears to negate the main advantage of Cursed Spirit Manipulation: the wide arsenal of techniques at the user's disposal. However, when using cursed spirits of semi-grade 1 and higher in Uzumaki, their innate techniques are extracted to the user. This allows the curse manipulator to use the cursed techniques without needing to summon the cursed spirit afterwards.[3]
Usage[]
Suguru Geto[]
Suguru Geto cultivated Uzumaki some point after mastering his innate technique. He utilized it at climax of his battle with special grade sorcerer, Yuta Okkotsu and the Queen of Curses, Rika Orimoto.
The majority of Suguru's curses were divided between Kyoto and Shinjuku for the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons during this fight. The remaining 4,461 cursed spirits in his possession were combined into one to attack Yuta with Uzumaki.[4]
This attack would've surely overpowered Yuta, so the sorcerer removed any limiters on Rika's power as a counter. Rika's beam of true love clashed with Uzumaki and overpowered the maximum technique, gravely injuring Suguru.
Kenjaku[]
After taking control of Suguru's body to acquire Cursed Spirit Manipulation, Kenjaku gained the ability to use Maximum: Uzumaki as well. He initially believed it to be nothing exciting and treated it as a way to recycle low-grade cursed spirits. However, he eventually discovered the true value of Uzumaki was its ability to extract the cursed techniques of any semi-grade 1 or higher cursed spirits are used.
Shortly after absorbing Mahito into a sealed black sphere, Kenjaku divulged how Maximum: Uzumaki works to Yuji. Shortly after he ingested Mahito to fully absorb him and was immediately confronted by other jujutsu sorcerers.[5] In order to counterattack effectively and extract Mahito's Idle Transfiguration, Kenjaku unleashed Maximum: Uzumaki.
Kenjaku suddenly summoned Uzumaki to after breaking Kasumi Miwa's sword with his bare hands. She was saved by the intervention of Atsuya Kusakabe but the destructive impact of Uzumaki left a gigantic gaping crater on the battlefield.[6] Despite missing its target, Uzumaki still extracted Mahito's innate technique, allowing Kenjaku to utilize Idle Transfiguration once to start the Culling Game.
Kenjaku used a miniature version of Uzumaki in his fight with Yuki Tsukumo. He fooled her into believing he was buying time to use his gravity technique when he was actually developing a tiny Uzumaki orb. Kenjaku took Yuki by surprise with the mini-Uzumaki and blasted her upper body. She blocked the initial blast but Kenjaku followed up with a second mini-Uzumaki that blasted a hole through her lower torso.[7]
