Gameplay

The game is a 3D action brawler where players create a team from the anime’s cast of Jujutsu Sorcerers and Cursed Spirits and unleash powerful attacks with the series’ famed Cursed Techniques in 2v2 combat. Players will be able to select their own 2v2 teams, each capable of executing a wide array of powerful tag-team attacks and combos. Different character combinations will have unique synergies and power dynamics. By completing battles, players increase their fighter’s power level, unlocking stronger attacks as they progress.[1]

History

Cursed Clash was officially announced at the Bandai Namco Summer Showcase 2023 on July 1, 2023. At the same time, the game's official Twitter page was launched.[2]

The game features over fifteen characters from the Jujutsu Kaisen story.[1] Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki, and Satoru Gojo were the first confirmed playable characters via the announcement trailer. Ryomen Sukuna was announced on August 6.[3]

Maki Zenin, Toge Inumaki, and Panda were announced on August 20.[4]

Aoi Todo, Jogo, and Hanami were announced on September 10.[5]

Kento Nanami, Mahito, and Eso / Kechizu were announced on November 19.[6]

Yuta Okkotsu and Suguru Geto were announced on December 16 at Jump Fest. [7] [8]

DLC

Paid downloadable content "Hidden Inventory / Premature Death," which added new playable characters Satoru Gojo (student), Suguru Geto (student), and Toji Fushiguro, launched on May 30, 2024, alongside a free update that added new playable characters Mai Zen'in and Momo Nishimiya.
