Horizon of the Captivating Skandha (
Description

The hand signs for Horizon of the Captivating Skandha.
Dagon's domain is conjured either when Dagon forms the necessary hand sign or when he draws a cursed seal on his stomach.[1] This brings forth a tropical beach environment that has a forest of palm trees on one side of the shore and an ocean on the other side, stretching into the distance. It has been described as a calm domain, and its waters are shallow enough for someone to stand in it while close to the beach.[2]

Horizon of the Captivating Skandha's sure-hit effect.
Horizon of the Captivating Skandha channels a sure-hit attack whereby the aquatic shikigami that Dagon creates automatically hit their target. From the view of the targeted, the fish manifest instantly where they are, making them near-impossible to block due to the shikigami not even existing until the very moment they hit the target, instantly eating into their flesh.[3]
Usage

Naobito trapped within Dagon's domain.
Dagon was able to expand his domain when he was still a cursed womb.[4] It was seen for the first time while expanded within an apartment to allow Dagon and his companions to relax, with Dagon in the water and Mahito lounging on the beach. Pseudo-Geto, upon entering through the apartment's door, commented that Dagon had quite the calm domain.[5] Later on, the domain would continue to be used by the group as a beach resort to discuss plans in.[6]

Dagon activates Death Swarm, which is guaranteed to hit in his domain.
Later in Shibuya, after evolving into a fully developed cursed spirit, Dagon expanded his domain for battle against the sorcerers Kento Nanami, Maki Zenin, and Naobito Zenin.[7] Within the domain, he activated Death Swarm, deploying countless shikigami to attack his foes and easily overpowered them at once. However, Megumi Fushiguro broke in by expanding his own domain, which led to a domain tug-of-war and negated Dagon's sure-hit attacks.[8] A "resurrected" Toji Fushiguro would shortly thereafter force his way into Dagon's domain as well through an opening made by Megumi,[9] exploiting his complete lack of cursed energy to avoid the domain's guaranteed-hit effect and thus set upon Dagon with a violent assault, ultimately killing the curse and dispelling his domain.[10][11]
Trivia
- On this Domain Expansion's name:
- The first kanji, tō (蕩?), means "melting/liquefying; charming/captivating" (and can also, especially in Chinese when used literary or in compounds, mean "to wash away/cleanse"). In this case, given the reading of tau, it is likely derived from tayutau (揺蕩う?), which means "to sway to and fro; to drift about (in water)", which could be a nod to how Dagon likes to float in the waters of his Domain.
- The second kanji, un (蘊?), can be translated as "pile; heap; aggregate; abundance". It also means skandha(s), which is the Buddhist concept of five material and mental factors ("aggregates") that contribute to the rise of craving in sentient beings.
- The last part, heisen (平線?), means "horizon" (e.g., suiheisen means the horizon related to the sea). Accordingly, the line where the sea and sky meet are visible in Dagon's Domain.

Dagon's cursed seal in the anime.
- When using his domain in Shibuya, Dagon tried forming the necessary hand sign yet was interrupted by Naobito, so he opted to instead draw a "cursed seal" on his stomach.[7] This "Cursed Seal of Dagon" (陀艮の呪印 Dagon no Juin?) appears as a Purse (
宝袋 Hōtai?, lit. "Treasure Bag/Pouch"), an ancient Japanese family crest that is meant to depict a drawstring bag (and is seen as an auspicious symbol).[1]
