Evening Moon Sword Drawing (
Description[]
Evening Moon Sword Drawing is an iai sword-drawing technique different from Batto Sword Drawing, particularly in the starting posture where the user begins by crouching down and using Simple Domain.
While within the domain, the user's cursed energy output is increased, and any cursed technique that enters it is weakened. Similar to Domain Expansion, a function can also be incorporated into the Simple Domain, allowing the user to automatically intercept and deflect any attacks that intrude into it through iai sword-drawing. Defensively, the user can use Evening Moon Sword Drawing to protect themselves from ranged attacks. By reading the opponent's movements and occurrences of cursed energy, the user can even deflect invisible attacks.[1]
By expanding the range of the Simple Domain and including their opponent in its radius, the user can use Evening Moon Sword Drawing offensively. This allows the user to automatically and quickly assault them with a flurry of attacks.[2]
Usage[]
Atsuya Kusakabe[]
Kusakabe prepared to use this technique against Toshihisa Negi, Manami Suda, and the other curse users waiting to ambush him and Panda during the Shibuya Incident. However, before he was able to perform it, their fight was interrupted by a nearby explosion caused by the battle between Sukuna and Jogo.[3]
Kusakabe fully demonstrated the capabilities of Evening Moon Sword Drawing during the battle against Sukuna. After activating this technique, Kusakabe was able to deflect Sukuna's Dismantles with his katana despite their invisible nature by reading the King of Curses' motions and cursed energy occurrences. However, after barely deflecting a slash due to Sukuna omitting the movements for Dismantle, Kusakabe went on the offensive by expanding the range of his Simple Domain to include Sukuna in it. As a result of Evening Moon's integrated function, Kusakabe automatically attacked Sukuna at high speeds with and without his katana, allowing him to slash the ancient curse user countless times in a brief moment and barrage him with punches after his katana broke.[4]
