Dhruv Lakdawalla (ドルゥヴ・ラクダワラ Dorūvu Rakudawara?) is a character in the Jujutsu Kaisen series. He is a jujutsu sorcerer from the past who was incarnated by Kenjaku for the Culling Game. This is the second incarnation for the veteran sorcerer who once conquered Japan on his own during the Civil War of Wa.[2]

Appearance[]

Dhruv is an older man with a well-toned body and eyes that turn outward. He is bald in the front and top of his head but has long light-colored hair that flows from the back. His hair reaches past his back and circles upward towards the ends. Dhruv has a long beard sectioned into three sends a thick mustache as well. Dhruv does not wear any clothes other than a dark-colored loin cloth.

Personality[]

Little is known about Dhruv's personality other than he willingly engaged in the viciousness of the Culling Game. He attacked sorcerers and civilians alike and did so indiscriminately, making him a target for Yuta Okkotsu.

Synopsis[]

History[]

Dhruv once singlehandedly conquered the Japanese archipelago during the Civil War of Wa ( () (こく) (たい) (らん) Wakoku Tairan?), the oldest documented war in Japan.

At some point in his life, Dhruv would incarnate himself.[2]

Dhruv partook in the Culling Game after being revived in the present day by incarnating a second time through his vessel with the help of Kenjaku on the night of October 31, 2018.[3]

Culling Game Arc[]

Dhruv participated in the Culling Game in the Sendai Colony since at least November 1st, 2018.[4]

By November 12th, 2018, Dhruv had managed to gain 91 points.[5] His innate technique made him one of four players locked in a tense deadlock, being a particularly difficult opponent for Kurourushi who decided to enter a dormant state until Dhruv dies.[6] He was killed by Yuta Okkotsu at 11:28 AM in the city of Sendai.[7]

Abilities and Powers[]

Overall Skill Level: Dhruv is an undoubtedly powerful sorcerer who was able to preserve his life across generations through two different incarnations after his original life. His most notable feat is single-handedly conquering Japan in the Civil War of Wa. In the modern era, the shikigami user was able to score over ninety points in the Culling Game. However, he was no match for the unusual abilities of Yuta Okkotsu, which are second only to Satoru Gojo.[8]

Incarnation: It has been stated that Dhruv had reincarnated himself once before and his incarnation during modern times was his second time incarnating, indicating that Dhruv had already died once and he had learned or gained a method to incarnate himself in the past to cheat death.[2]

Cursed Technique[]

Shikigami
Dhruv has two types of independent shikigami. One of being grotesque giant rodent-like monsters with larger jagged teeth, four eyes, and a tail that crawls along the ground using four legs.[9] The routes of the shikigami orbit Dhruv, allowing him to constitute an inviolable barrier with their tracks.[10]
