Summary[]
Megumi faces off with Sukuna, who's now in full control of Yuji's body and literally holds his fate in his hand. Determined to rescue Yuji, Megumi searches deep within for the reason why he fights and why he saved Yuji in the first place.
Plot Details[]
Megumi takes on Sukuna!
Facing Sukuna alone, Megumi reminds himself that the only thing in life that's fair is that it's unfair for everyone.
Megumi believes Yuji will return no matter what. Sukuna isn't so sure, pointing out how Yuji was mulling over his insecurities before Megumi set off the signal.
Megumi helps Yuji regain control but he falls dead as a result.
Megumi decides that his only option is to try to wear down Sukuna until he needs the heart back into his body. He's determined to do so and stakes his life on the line. He fights alongside his shikigami, but proves to be no match for Sukuna.
Sukuna's physical strength and agility are completely out of Megumi's league. He asks why Megumi didn't leave Yuji behind when he had the chance. Megumi knew a girl named Tsumiki, who's life was unfair.
To help more good people receive fairness, Megumi proclaims he will save people unfairly. Because he isn't a hero, he's a jujutsu sorcerer.
Instead of using his ultimate ability, Megumi simply admits he never regretted saving Yuji. Yuji takes back control of his body and tells Megumi to live a long life before falling over dead.
