The Shibuya Incident, Part 2 ( (しぶ) () () (へん) Shibuya Jihen 2?) is the eighty-fourth chapter of Gege Akutami's Jujutsu Kaisen.

Summary

The cursed spirits put Pseudo-Geto's plan into action, trapping Satoru Gojo deep in the underground Tokyo Metro and surrounding him with non-sorcerers that only serve to get in his way. With chaos stifling his ability to fight, the mighty Satoru Gojo is finally forced on the defensive. That being said, the strongest jujutsu sorcerer doesn't go down so easily.

Plot Details

Satoru Gojo trapped in the Fukutoshin Line Platform

Non-sorcerers are sent onto the train tracks to impede Satoru's offense.

Confronted with three special grade curses, Satoru stands confident on the subway platform. Hanami's roots block all possible exits but Satoru claims he wasn't going anywhere anyway. Satoru says if he leaves the curses, they will massacre everyone and Jogo emphatically replies that they'll gladly slaughter all these humans anyway.

Everyone standing on the outside lanes of the platform is forced onto the tracks, surrounding the four jujutsu users with non-sorcerers. Satoru nonchalantly tells those around him to stand out of his way if they don't want to die. He realizes that blocking the exists created a blind spot so he can't break through in case there are people on the other side.

Jogo forces civilians on the train tracks

Jogo threatens to kill everyone whether Satoru stays or not.

Jogo burns through several civilians as Hanami follows and Choso attacks with Slicing Exorcism. Both Hanami and Jogo attack Satoru and are stopped by his Infinity. They strengthen their cursed energy and activate Domain Amplification, forcing Satoru to dodge. He surmises they learned the technique from a curse user. Normal barriers are meant to trap their target in a box but the Domain Amplification metaphorically surrounds the target with water. With this method, the curses can neutralize the Infinity.

Satoru Gojo intimidates Jogo

"I'm surprised you thought you could beat me using your sorry excuse for a brain!"

Prior to the Shibuya Incident, Geto advised his allies that Satoru Gojo is best when he's working alone. No matter how strong the ally anyone else would just get in his way. Inferior non-sorcerers will restrict his movements and render him incapable of using his cursed techniques. In this situation, Satoru would be forced on the defensive and even his Domain Expansion would harm them. The plan is to kill time and force Satoru to think of countermeasures for twenty minutes until Geto is ready with Prison Realm.

Jogo snatches somebody's head off and reminds Satoru the rules were for him not to run away. Satoru admits he was surprised and Jogo is pleased to hear a possible excuse. However, Satoru rejects this and reveals his Six Eyes, adding that he's only surprised because these foolish curses believed they could use their brains to defeat him. The strongest sorcerer points out Hanami and says since this is their third meeting, the weed is getting cut first.
