Summary
The secret to using Black Flash is a phenomenon unknown even to Satoru Gojo! The sorcerers fight to defeat Sukuna, whom the sparks of black have blessed, before he regains his reverse cursed technique output. Yuji leads the charge and proves that even the rays of hope shine black!
Plot Details
In a past interview, Gojo explained that he can't use Black Flash at will even though he has the Six Eyes, as the spatial phenomenon depends on many factors aside from timing, such as the blend of cursed energy, the opponent and the user's conditions, and even temperature and humidity. Gojo ultimately concluded that using it was entirely up to luck, and while Kento Nanami had landed more consecutive Black Flashes, he landed more Black Flashes in total, not knowing that his record would be surpassed by Yuji in the future.
Witnessing Sukuna land his second Black Flash on Larue, the four jujutsu sorcerers' minds start racing. Choso and Yuji realize that Sukuna could recover his reverse cursed technique output as Gojo did and continue the assault. Despite their efforts, none of their attacks managed to hit. Maki joins the fray and contends with Sukuna, who both demonstrate their superior physical prowess by using the air as footing to fight airborne. Now in the zone, Sukuna unleashes his third Black Flash on Maki, punching her through a window before following up with Dismantle slashes that have their output increased as a result.
Using Supernova, Choso explodes several blood orbs behind Sukuna, creating a cloud of debris. A few slashes fly out of the cloud towards Choso, but before they hit him, Sukuna suddenly appears behind and grabs him, throwing him into a wall. Choso barely protects himself in time using an armor of blood as Sukuna punches him with his fourth Black Flash. Yuji subsequently punches Sukuna away, allowing Choso to hand him a compressed blood orb.
Meanwhile, Miguel prepares to retreat with Larue, but the latter insists on staying, as he can still contribute to the fight. At the same time, Yuji and Sukuna continue to brawl. As Sukuna throws Yuji to the ground, Yuji suddenly claps his hands together and points them at Sukuna's face, who recognizes the stance and barely dodges the Piercing Blood as it scrapes his chin. With Yuji's shoulder slashed in return, the two sorcerers back away from each other. Yuji then readies a punch, which Sukuna senses would be a Black Flash and prepares to defend against it.
Suddenly, Sukuna's eyes and focus shift towards another direction, particularly towards a certain sorcerer in the distance. Larue reveals that he used his Cutie Honey technique, which allows him to "grab" the attention of a target, to shift Sukuna's awareness towards him. With Sukuna distracted and vulnerable, Yuji lands a powerful Black Flash against the King of Curses! As black lightning erupts out his fist, Yuji's potential is unleashed as he awakens amidst the shower of black sparks.
