Summary
With Mahoraga adapting to the Infinity and his output falling fast, Satoru Gojo's back is against the wall. Although thoughts of defeat enter his mind, Gojo is not overcome with fear. Instead, he can only feel an overwhelming sense of satisfaction.
Plot Details
Mahoraga's Sword of Extermination infiltrates the Infinity and slashes Gojo across the shoulder. Yuji, Yuta, and Hakari look on in concern for their sensei. Yuji tries to restore resolve by stating that Gojo isn't finished yet. He argues that without the Infinity, Gojo and Sukuna are on even terms and he can still quickly heal any injury. Shoko tells Yuji that Gojo's cursed energy output is dropping so his reverse cursed technique is taking longer to heal wounds.

Even up against the King of Curses, none of Gojo's allies would ever believe he could be bested. However, now, for the first time, the thought of the invincible Satoru Gojo losing floods their mind. The same thought strikes Gojo himself as he wonders when was the last time a similar sensation came over him. A memory of Toji Fushiguro flashes in his mind, reminding him of the obvious answer. Rather than fear or despair, the feeling that overcomes Gojo is deep satisfaction. Solitude accompanies absolute strength but in this moment Sukuna has managed to give Gojo fulfillment.
Gojo begins his counterattack, unleashing a flurry of punches to Mahoraga's head before finishing his combo with a double palm thrust. The attack sends Mahoraga crashing backward. As the shikigami is recovering, Gojo recites the incantation of Cursed Technique Reversal: Red to recover his fallen output. Hiding in Gojo's shadow, Sukuna unleashes Rabbit Escape to impede his opponent's view. Amused, Gojo says he can tell Sukuna is still reeling from Black Flash and blasts the shadow with Red.

Sukuna retreats and Mahoraga takes up a position to cover him. Gojo believes the shikigami will be on the offensive while Sukuna ensures its not destroyed. Sukuna throws a fire extinguisher that explodes on impact with Gojo's Infinity. Mahoraga jumps above the smokescreen while Sukuna imitates the stance for Piercing Blood, surprising Choso. Sukuna fires an extremely fast stream of water at Gojo while he's blocking an assault from Mahoraga. Gojo is taken by surprise and forced to use one of his arms to block the projectile, injuring it. Mahoraga continues its offensive and Gojo jumps out of the way, realizing that Sukuna will also attack whenever Mahoraga has negated the Infinity, making this fight a two-against-one.
"It's three against one."
Even Gojo is impressed with Sukuna's skill, wondering how he managed to deploy Max Elephant's water without manifesting the shikigami. He knows Sukuna can't use his Shrine and Megumi's Ten Shadows Technique simultaneously without a domain. He can, however, utilize more of the shikigami now that Mahoraga has adapted to the Infinity. Gojo believes it'll take longer for Mahoraga to adapt to Red and prefers this situation to the shikigami adapting to his techniques one after the other.

Sukuna dismisses the idea that this fight is two-on-one and summons Nue Totality: Merged Beast Agito, making it three-on-one instead. Gojo taunts Sukuna for looking like a little lost alien child between the two massive shikigami. Mahoraga and Agito rush Gojo as their master smirks at the remark. Gojo retreats and Sukuna emerges from his shadow to fire another imitation of Piercing Blood from behind. Gojo narrowly avoids the beam and crushes the ground, forcing Sukuna to jump out of the way.
The two shikigami encircle Gojo but he maneuvers behind Mahoraga before blasting its head with Red. It doesn't do nearly as much damage as it normally would, due only in part to Gojo's low output. This proves to him that Mahoraga is adapting incrementally, meaning there is only one way to destroy Mahoraga with a single attack. It takes time to charge and Sukuna's guard is up, proven by his prioritizing of relentless offensive over adapting to Red. Gojo grins with a hidden plan behind his smile to finish this battle with Hollow Technique: Purple.

Apparently, there’s no such thing as the Japanese phrase "Ma wo tsubusu" (to crush space). "Tsumeru" (to stuff something) does exist though. | |
