Summary
It's a race against the clock as Satoru Gojo must defeat Sukuna before he can adapt to the Infinity. With just three spins of Mahoraga's wheel to nullify Satoru's inviolability, a deadly countdown looms over the battle of the strongest.
Plot Details
Gojo pursues Sukuna through the air as Mahoraga's wheel spins, leaving only two more times before it adapts to the Infinity. Yuji and Kusakabe want Gojo to hurry and act more concerned.
Gojo thoroughly attacks Sukuna with Blue.
Sukuna dashes around pillars supporting a bridge on the battlefield as Gojo pursues him while armed with two spheres of Blue. Gojo throws the Blue orbs and destroys the pillars as Sukuna avoids the attack. Gojo encircles Sukuna with eight more Blue orbs and converges them on him. Sukuna dodges again but Gojo gets behind him while he's on the defensive. They engage in hand-to-hand combat and Gojo kicks Sukuna back. Blue hits Sukuna from behind and injures his lower abdomen but he remains smug as the wheel on his head spins again, leaving only one rotation before it adapts to the Infinity.
Yuji questions if it is time or experience required for Mahoraga to adapt. After taking a moment to understand the question, Kusakabe understands that he's asking if it takes time after Mahoraga is hit by an attack to adapt or if it adapts incrementally by experiencing an attack multiple times. As Kusakuabe wonders which it could be, Kashimo puts it simply and states either could be possible.
"Red hasn't exploded yet."
Gojo knocks Sukuna into a building and decides it's time to pile on the offensive. After thoroughly displaying that he'll only use Blue, Gojo is confident Sukuna won't be able to effectively react to this timing. Gojo moves behind a pillar and blasts through it with Red to hit Sukuna. However, Sukuna activates domain amplification in time to dampen the effect and minimize damage. While amplification can neutralize the Infinity, Sukuna still takes damage because it can't fully negate Blue or Red. Higuruma and Yuji worry that Gojo misread the situation and fear that Sukuna will adapt.
Mahoraga's blade encroaches the Infinity!
Sukuna arrogantly taunts Gojo for rushing and asks if he's lost his head after being predicted. In response, Gojo reveals that the Red he fired hasn't exploded yet, surprising Sukuna. On cue, Red blasts Sukuna in the back. He surmises too late that Red used the shape of the building to circle back around and flank him. Gojo immediately seizes the moment and lands a powerful Black Flash that knocks the King of Curses unconscious. Everyone watching is astounded by the extraordinary display of Black Flash, which Yuji promptly recognizes.
Sukuna is incapacitated while standing and the Mahoraga's wheel falls from his head. However, it spins after hitting the ground, officially signaling that Mahoraga has adapted to the Infinity. Gojo is dragged down into Sukuna's shadow as Mahoraga emerges once again. Yuji and Yuta both yell out of concern for their sensei as he falls into the clutches of the shikigami, who slashes him across the shoulder with the Sword of Extermination.
