Plot Details

Satoru Gojo hit by Malevolent Shrine

Gojo slashed relentlessly by Malevolent Shrine.

With his domain shattered from the outside, Gojo's neck is sliced by the can't-miss attack of Malevolent Shrine. Yuji stands up out of his seat in the monitoring area and yells out of concern for his sensei.

Gojo immediately heals himself with reverse cursed technique, but as Higururma points out, the slashes from Malevolent Shrine will continue as long as he's range. Choso asks why Gojo doesn't try to escape the open barrier and Hakari agrees he should escape with his spoeed. However, Kusakabe reveals to them that Gojo can only teleport by applying his Limitless, meaning he's in trouble while his technique is still burnt out.

Sukuna unleashes a torrent of slashes on Gojo that rip and tear at him relentlessly. Gojo uses reverse cursed technique at full output to survive but he's badly cut and bloodied from the barrage. Despite this, Gojo remarks to himself that he's glad that compared to this sure-hit effect, his Limitless is far superior to Sukuna's technique. Gojo dashes away but Sukuna immediately impedes his path and refuses to let him get away. They engage in hand-to-hand combat and Gojo even nearly lands a direct hit. This forces Sukuna to admit that he's impressed Gojo can still move so well while enduring the slashes and healing himself.

Sukuna stops Gojo from escaping

Sukuna impedes Gojo from escaping his domain.

Curious, Yuji asks what would happen to Sukuna's domain if the shrine itself was destroyed. Kusakabe tells him that objects materialized within a domain usually don't hold any real importance. Mei Mei adds that Gojo's Six Eyes would've revealed to him if destroying the shrine would help. Kirara panics because they don't think Gojo can do anything in response. Gojo activates simple domain to protect himself from the domain, surprising his student. Yuji thought Gojo couldn't use simple domain but Kusakabe clarifies that he can't teach it because he's a natural genius. Gojo heals himself while protecting himself from the sure-hit effect at the same time but Choso comments that this effort will only buy him time.

Is Satoru Gojo about to lose

"Is Satoru Gojo... about to lose!?"

After a brief physical exchange between the fighters, Gojo's simple domain is destroyed and he's slashed by the domain again. Gojo immediately activates simple domain again to protect himself, irritating Sukuna. However, this time, everyone notices that Gojo isn't healing himself. Ino theorizes that he's running low on cursed energy but Yuta rejects this idea. Gojo's simple domain is destroyed once again and he suffers even more slashes, forcing a single question to be asked: is Satoru Gojo about to lose?

Satoru Gojo restores his technique

Rules mean nothing in this battle of the strongest!!

However, Gojo suddenly closes the distance using the speed of Blue and uses his legs to wrap himself around Sukuna. Sukuna immediately notes this speed and is surprised by this occurrence. Gojo quickly unleashes Cursed Technique Reversal: Red at point blank and sends Sukuna crashing into the shrine. Shocked, Yuta stands up and surmises that Gojo must have used reverse cursed technique to recover his burnt-out innate technique. With the momentum swung back in his favor, Gojo heals himself and admits that was a tough situation to get out of.
