Summary
The decisive battle, Satoru Gojo vs. Ryomen Sukuna, has begun! This fight between the strongest will shape the future, but Shinjuku itself may not survive a clash between monsters.
Plot Details
The decisive battle between the strongest has begun!
By releasing Hollow Purple, Gojo has landed the first strike and declared Sukuna as the challenger. Amused, Sukuna taunts Gojo for getting worked up over a surprise attack and compares him to a fancy fish that will get filleted the same as all the others who've come before.
Taking his fighting stance, Sukuna claims he'll start by peeling away at Gojo's allure by ripping off his scales. Gojo responds by asking Sukuna why he's still using Megumi's likeness. He ensures Sukuna that he has enough experience to go all out against Megumi and adds that it was a mistake for him to die once as Yuji. Gojo claims he'll worry about rescuing Megumi after the King of Curses is dead.
Gojo uses Blue to manipulate the environment against Sukuna.
The two strongest sorcerers clash and Gojo defends Sukuna's initial attacks with the Infinity and playful evasion. Gojo sends Sukuna crashing through a building using Blue's field of attraction. Sukuna recovers on a walkway bridge outside but Gojo breaks it apart with powerful stomps before throwing the wreckage with Blue. Sukuna avoids damage from the debris and escapes to rooftops where he closes the distance on Gojo to get in range to fire Dismantle. Sukuna's slash a tall building behind Gojo in half, causing it to collapse.
Shinjuku can't survive this showdown!
While the building is falling, Sukuna engages Gojo using domain amplification. Rather than strengthen the Limitless to counter Sukuna's amplification, Gojo grabs Sukuna's fist and lifts them both into the descending structure. While Sukuna pursues Gojo through a vertical corridor in the falling building, the latter grabs a door off the hinges and puts it between them. Both fighters charge up a cursed energy reinforced punch and unleash their power at the same time.
The impact of their clash not only destroys the door but decimates the entire building. Gojo and Sukuna both come out of the debris unscathed while only just getting warmed up. Gojo says he's going to blame all the damage and wreckage on his opponent. Sukuna replies that no one will believe that because he's not at all blameless. This makes Gojo remember that Mei Mei is broadcasting the entire fight live to the public.
