Bath, Part 2 ( (よく) Yoku 2?) is the two hundred and seventeenth chapter of Gege Akutami's Jujutsu Kaisen.

Summary[]

Yorozu has been infatuated with Sukuna for over a thousand years but the sentiment is one-sided. Sukuna is only interested in killing her to crush Megumi's soul. However, Sukuna's demented plans don't deter Yorozu from her fantasy about their future.

Plot Details[]

Yorozu and Sukuna

Yorozu's fantasy of her victory and marriage to Sukuna.

Yorozu asks Sukuna why he's keeping Megumi's face when he has the power over his vessel to change it at any time. Sukuna simply spins this question back on Yorozu, to whom this also applies. This amuses her and she says that she agrees using these appearances for now will serve them better later. With utter disregard for Yorozu's confidence, Sukuna asks if she truly believes she'll live until later. This provokes Yorozu to attack with two thick streams of black liquid metal. Sukuna avoids the thrusting streams of liquid metal but Yorozu rides atop one of them to close the distance.

Sukuna and Yorozu exchange blows, parrying one another until Sukuna kicks her back. However, Yorozu nullifies the impact by constructing a square-shaped plate of metal to block the impact. She teases Sukuna and asks him why she noticed him when not even the Angel did before. Sukuna isn't interested in talking but Yorozu continues on, giving credit to love. She proclaims that she wants to kill Sukuna and she wants him to be the one to kill her. She asks Sukuna what he'll give her if she defeats him and he responds with "everything".

Sukuna using Divine Dogs

Sukuna uses only the Ten Shadows Technique to fight.

Sukuna knows that losing would mean death and it doesn't matter what happens at that point. Yorozu asks if that includes marriage and Sukuna gives her a disinterested response. Yorozu takes this and runs with it, forming a binding vow between them. She rambles on with excitement about their marriage and details her fantasy about it with one addition after another. Yorozu exclaims that she's pumped to fight now and Sukuna responds to her enthusiasm by re-igniting the battle.

Sukuna summons Divine Dogs using the unstable form of his shadow instead of fully manifesting the shikigami. The shadow dogs attack Yorozu but she blasts them away with a wave of spikes created from her liquid metal. A larger shadow similar to Divine Dog: Totality envelops Sukuna and tries to crush Yorozu. She avoids it and counterattacks with a spiked cage made of liquid metal but Sukuna avoids that as well.

Yorozu's insect armor

"Do you really think you can defeat me without using your Shrine!?"

Yorozu begins to send spear-tipped streams of liquid metal at Sukuna before suddenly stopping. She asks why Sukuna is only using his vessel's innate technique and not his own Shrine. Sukuna refuses to use his own technique because he wants Tsumiki's blood to be on Megumi's hands in a sense by only using the Ten Shadows Technique. This infuriates Yorozu, who finds it disrespectful for Sukuna to touch his future wife with someone else's technique. Not only that, she's also insulted that Sukuna believes he could beat her without using his Shrine.

Yorozu's innate technique is Construction, allowing her to replicate almost any substance with enough practice. Having constructed numerous weapons on her way to becoming a seasoned sorcerer of the Heian era, she narrowed down specific creations to make up her arsenal of choice. This heavily features her liquid metal, which has a changeable shape and volume with stable physical properties due to semi-autonomous cursed energy. She uses that to create insect armor that appropriates numerous biofunctions from multiple strands of evolution. In response, Sukuna Mahoraga's wheel above his head and says this is a perfect time for a test drive.
