Stars and Oil, Part 4 (
Summary
Kenjaku turns the tables on Yuki Tsukumo, forcing Choso to attempt to sacrifice himself in order to stop him. However, Yuki and Tengen give Choso a chance to live on as a human. Instead, they execute their own last-ditch effort to take out the curse user once and for all.
Plot Details
Severely injured by Kenjaku's miniature Uzumaki attack, Yuki realizes that Kenjaku wasn't buying time for his gravity technique when he summoned cursed spirits earlier. She deduces that his curses were meant to distract her from the Uzumaki he was forming, leaving her no time for regeneration before he can unleash the gravity again.
At some point before Kenjaku's invasion, Choso and Yuki had a conversation in a bar hosted by Tengen. Yuki asked why Choso was willing to die if he needs to be around for Yuji. Choso asked Yuki if he was even human and stated that he decided to live as a curse because humanity wouldn't be able to accept his Eso and Kechizu's deformed appearances. Choso feels guilty for not only killing people in Shibuya, but for ending the lives of Kechizu and Eso as well. He believes if they had chosen to live as humans, it wouldn't have resulted in their deaths. Choso cried at the bar and asks why he took the easy way out and left Yuji alone when the four brothers were fated to fight together. Yuki argued that if Choso dies, Yuji will be alone. Choso thanked her for her kindness but claimed that he can't continue to live alongside him after killing people in cold blood.
This flashback ends for Choso and he attempts to sacrifice himself to rescue Yuki. He prepares to throw a slicing disk at his father and tries to get his attention but Yuki tells him to die as a curse and live on as a human. Tengen crumbles the floor of the barrier beneath Choso, both saving him and removing him from the fight. Kenjaku unleashes his gravity technique and bisects Yuki's body as it's forced to the ground, defeating the special grade. Tengen's proxy appears before Kenjaku and he's amused because Tengen's appearance because they similar to Sukuna. Tengen distracts Kenjaku long enough for Yuki to grab his ankle, only serving to annoy him.
Kenjaku tells Yuki to die as a human, a play on her last words to Choso. However, Kenjaku is completely taken off guard when a strong gravitational force begins to affect him. Star Rage's alterations in mass don't affect Yuki, but only up to a certain density. With no limit to the virtual mass she can add to herself, Yuki transforms herself into a black hole and attempts to take Kenjaku down with her. For a black hole with the potential to swallow the entire planet, the destruction is relatively contained, only destroying a large section of Tokyo Jujutsu High before disappearing. Everything above the Tombs of the Star Corridor is destroyed, leaving Tengen's chamber completely exposed.
Heavily injured but somehow still alive, Kenjaku miraculously climbs out of the rubble. Kenjaku admits he's impressed with Yuki's last-ditch effort and Tengen demands an explanation as to how he survived. The curse user reveals that Kaori Itadori, his previous vessel, possessed Antigravity System as her innate technique. He used his body as a domain to avoid restrictions on unstable cursed energy output and activation time, a gamble that paid off for him. The Black Hole could've destroyed the whole world, but Yuki's will and Tengen's barriers suppressed it. Kenjaku credits them with his survival more than anything.
Kenjaku thanks Yuki and Tengen for the warm-up and says the latter has atoned for their tedious existence. The proxy disappears and Kenjaku unseals the tree holding their true body. Kenjaku says goodbye to his old friend and seizes Tengen once and for all.
