Plot Details

Yuki speaks with Tengen

Yuki scolds Tengen about Star Plasma Vessels.

Yuki Tsukumo and Tengen have a conversation regarding Star Plasma Vessels. Yuki asks if there were other vessels aside from Riko Amanai and herself. Tengen confirms there were other vessels but claims none of them had Riko's potential. Yuki asks why Tengen would take the risk of not merging if there were others and Tengen replies that they've merely accepted their circumstances. Tengen has preserved their self-awareness using barrier techniques even if they evolve. They've always felt this was inevitable regardless, an answer Yuki outright rejects. Yuki disapproves of Tengen's flagrant disregard for the lives of young girls.

Yuki states she would've sided with the Time Vessel Association if their goal was to seize control rather than try to kill Star Plasma Vessels. Irritated, Yuki scoffs and says she dislikes talking about what could've been. Tengen asks if Yuki can hear the voices of the other Star Plasma Vessels since they themselves can not and asks what they're saying. Yuki refuses to tell Tengen because she believes Tengen would just use their enlightenment to deflect responsibility if they found out what became of those who've they've merged with. As a former Star Plasma Vessel, Yuki feels as if it's her responsibility not to make it so easy for Tengen.

Kenjaku invades the Tombs of the Star

Kenjaku invades the Tombs of the Star Corridor.

Sensing an incoming threat, Tengen expresses that they wish this conversation could continue. Suddenly, Kenjaku bursts through the wall of an empty barrier above the Tombs of the Star Corridor. He's met by Choso, who the curse user claims is of no interest to him anymore. He asks where Tengen is and Choso claims Tengen doesn't want to speak while taunting Kenjaku for being disliked. Kenjaku calls Choso an overzealous vanguard and claims that the Culling Game has served its purpose with the prelude to the ritual's completion. This statement confuses and concerns Choso, who thinks it's still too soon and worries about Yuji and the others.

Kenjaku shows Choso his plans

Kenjaku shows Choso one possible outcome to his scheme.

Kenjaku boasts that if he seizes Tengen, the world is done for. He manipulates the empty barrier around them to create a movie theater to show Choso one possible conclusion to his scheme. Kenjaku starts by reminding Choso that at the end of the Shibuya Incident, Yuki emphasized that optimizing cursed energy through Tengen would turn everyone in Japan into sorcerers. For Kenjaku's plans, this would only serve as a precursor as he does not seek to rid the world of cursed spirits as Yuki does.

Kenjaku has always pursued the possibility of a new form of cursed energy beyond cursed spirits and jujutsu sorcerers. This is why he expected so much of the Death Painting Wombs by combining the two only to be disappointed. Annoyed, Choso threatens to kill Kenjaku without listening to his monologue if he insults his brothers.

Choso tired of Kenjaku's scheme

A strike of blood to end Kenjaku's sideshow!!

Kenjaku continues without taunting, explaining that because Tengen is more cursed spirit than sorcerer, merging them with humanity would turn non-sorcerers into cursed spirits instead. This could possibly distill a hundred million people into a conglomeration of cursed energy that could take on any form. Kenjaku wants to know what form that will take, comparing his excitement to a toddler holding a crayon to blank paper.

Kenjaku concludes his speech and collapses the theater back into the empty barrier. Choso asks what it is that Kenjaku wants, to which the curse user replies that he just explained. Choso wants to know what is driving Kenjaku to do this but the curse user simply claims it's good fun. He even thinks it would be funny if this new form took on a funny face and laughs out loud. Fed up with Kenjaku's antics, Choso goes on the offensive and prepares to fire Piercing Blood at him.
