Summary
In the climax of the battle in the Sakurajima Colony, Naoya unleashes his devastating domain expansion! However, Maki's newfound freedom empowers her to take on any challenge, including everything Naoya can throw at her.
Plot Details
Domain Expansion: Time Cell Moon Palace.
Naoya traps Hagane Daido and Rokujushi Miyo inside his domain expansion, Time Cell Moon Palace. The domain's auto-hit effect appears to deal no damage, so both fighters decide to go on the offensive against Naoya. However, as soon as they start to move, bleeding wounds appear all over their body.
Naoya explains that anyone inside his domain has to abide by the 24FPS second rule of Projection Sorcery. The domain increases the precision of the cursed technique, allowing it to target cells. Anyone who disobeys the rule will have their cells become unstable and bleed profusely from instantaneously generated wounds.
Naoya's domain doesn't recognize Maki.
Miyo drops to the ground and Naoya commends his own abilities until he realizes that he still can't locate Maki. Daido tries to attack but his arm comes clean off and Naoya tells him to stop messing around. Maki takes the katana from Daido's severed hand and stabs Naoya in the back with it. She has no cursed energy, so the domain treats her the same as it would a building, allowing her free entry and exit. Unless Maki consents or Naoya uses a structure as the barrier's exterior like Megumi did in the Tokyo No. 1 Colony, Naoya can't trap Maki.

On the beach where Maki's consciousness said goodbye to Mai, the twin sisters meet again. They shake hands and Mai is proud to know her sister understood her content and broke free completely. The blade she left behind for Maki is an exact replica of Toji Zenin's Split Soul Katana, which can only be used by those who can perceive inorganic matter.
Naoya turns his head 180 degrees around and morphs it into a more curse-like state to attack Maki. He believes she's trapped herself and won't be able to move inside the domain, but he's mistaken. Maki has no cursed energy so the domain's auto-hit cannot target her at all. She bisects Naoya's head with an upward slash, exorcising him once and for all.
The domain dissolves as Naoya dies and both Daido and Miyo survive. Daido and Niyo bear witness to a monstrous fighter equal to Toji himself, as Maki has been fully realized.
