Summary
Naoya has evolved into a far more powerful vengeful curse. Maki and Noritoshi continue to combine their strength, but Naoya's evergrowing speed and power present a challenge even they may not even be able to match.
Plot Details
Naoya withstands Maki and Noritoshi's combo attacks.
After sending Noritoshi flying, Naoya notices that his hand has been burned. He commends Noritoshi for nullifying his punch and proving to have the strength of a clan head. Noritoshi crashed into a gate and his bow was broken by the impact, but his body is mostly uninjured. If he hadn't blocked the punch with blood, however, Noritoshi's head and arm would've been destroyed by Naoya's attack. Noritoshi is aware of this and decides to step up his game and activate Flowing Red Scale.
Naoya rushes towards Noritoshi and Maki intercepts him. She slashes Noaya with the Split Soul Katana and then Noritoshi restrains him with Crimson Binding. Maki attempts another slash but Naoya rotates at high speed to reflect the blade. Maki reveals to Noritoshi that their opponent is Naoya Zenin and Noritoshi is surprised that Naoya has retained so much of his ego as a curse. He compares Naoya to Rika, who behaves much more like a normal cursed spirit. Maki adds that Naoya can still use his cursed technique and Noritoshi realizes that he's been using Projection Sorcery this entire time.

Using the aforementioned technique, Naoya freezes the air into animation frames and then strikes them to create an explosion that blows his opponent's back. This allows Naoya to dash in between them and fly away into the air. Noritoshi questions if Naoya is fleeing but Naoya states that it's more likely that he's speeding up. They know Naoya will charge them once he's reached top speed and Maki believes they can prepare an attack and wait for Naoya to run into it, the same strategy she used to defeat him before.

Naoya's flesh appendages retreat into his shell as he gains speed and takes air into the inlet on his back. He goes supersonic and shatters all structures he passes by, zooming around repeatedly in a circular motion to build centrifugal force. Naoya's body uses thrusting pressure and cursed energy to compress and eject the air to increase his propulsion. Moving at over three times the speed of sound Naoya rends the area around Maki with his approach and crashes into her before she can react.
Maki's body is smashed into the ground from the high-speed impact. She failed to stop Naoya's attack and is heavily injured, bleeding profusely from her mouth. Naoya stands triumphantly over Maki and taunts her for being weak, claiming he can't believe he ever lost to her.
