Plot Details

Rika Full Manifestation

Yuta goes all out and fully manifests Rika.

Yuta dons his ring and Rika fully manifests as a cursed spirit right next to him. Ryu and Uro are both surprised and confused by this turn of events. Uro is shocked Yuta wasn't using his full power and Ryu doesn't understand how Yuta's cursed energy is even filling back up.

Rika tears her chest open to display an arsenal of cursed tools kept in its body for Yuta to choose from. Rika the curse remained with Yuta even after Rika Orimoto passed away as a part of her will to protect him. The cursed spirit is directly connected to Yuta's cursed technique and is capable of storing cursed energy and cursed tools for him. While connected to Rika through his ring, Yuta can use his cursed techniques, receive a supply of cursed energy, and fully manifest the Rika to aid him in battle. He can maintain this sustained connection for up to five minutes.

Yuta and Rika attacking Takako Uro

Yuta and Rika pummel Uro.

Rika attaches a metal arm casing to Yuta to improve his striking power. Ready to re-engage, Yuta begins by having Rika rush through the air toward Uro, who prepares her sky manipulation technique in response. However, Yuta suddenly creates the Snake Eyes & Fangs sigil of the Inumaki clan on his mouth and activates cursed speech, commanding his opponent not to move. Uro tries to cover her ears but she's too late and is immediately immobilized. Unable to defend herself, Uro is pummeled by a barrage of strikes from both Yuta and Rika.

Yuta launches himself off Rika's arms toward Uro to continue pressuring her after the cursed speech wears off. Ryu tries to intervene and launches a beam of cursed energy, claiming Yuta's approach is too soft. Rika blocks it with one hand, impressing Ryu, who believes Rika might be even more durable than Yuta himself. Irritated by the pain, Rika angrily punches Ryu in the face and sends him flying. She tries to follow up with another strike but Ryu quickly counters with an explosive punch of his own. Excited with the potential to satisfy his hunger, Ryu fixes his hair and claims he still has an appetite that calls for an extra large helping.

Yuta summoning shikigami

Yuta copying Dhruv's cursed technique.

Facing Uro one-on-one, Yuta summons small flying shikigami by using strands of his hair as an intermediary. Uro destroys one of them with her technique and claims members of the Fujiwara only stand in her way because they fear her potential. She was the leader of the Sun, Moon, and Stars Squad affiliated directly with the Toh of the Fujiwara clan. They were assassins that pursued lives of selfless devotion in the shadows and didn't even bear names. A particular sorcerer of the Fujiwara clan gave Takako Uro her name only to execute her as a proxy to cover up his own crimes of killing someone else within the clan.

Triple Domain Expansion

"Domain Expansion!"

Suddenly, Uro is cut across her chest and hips by the shikigami. The trajectories of the shikigami constitute a domain, which Uro recognizes as Dhruv Lakdawalla's technique. She realizes that Yuta isn't a cursed speech user with the ability to summon shikigami, he's a sorcerer with the ability to copy other cursed techniques. Yuta knocks Uro down to where Ryu and Rika are fighting and tries to capitalize with a straight punch. Uro manages to stop his punch and breaks his armored shell with the ice-breaker effect of her technique. Uninjured by the exchange, Yuta tells Uro that regardless of what his ancestors may have done, living for herself with only get her so far. This only serves to further annoy Uro, who claims that saying things like "live for others" is something only those who have achieved something can do.

Their conversation is interrupted by a noticeable surge in Ryu's cursed energy. Ryu thinks his two opponents need to stop talking because words are pointless at this stage of the fight. Prepared to bring the three-way battle to its climax, the three sorcerers all activate Domain Expansion at the same time!
