The Shibuya Incident, Part 18 (
Summary
Enraged by the number of victims the curse user, Haruta Shigemo has left in his wake, Nanami fights to put a stop to it once and for all. Meanwhile, Yuji is able to finally reach Shibuya Station with help from his favorite cursed speech user.
Plot Details
Nanami confronts Shigemo directly.
Nanami walks into the battle between Nobara and Haruta Shigemo.
While Shigemo wonders if he can kill non-black suits, Nobara recognizes Nanami as the leader of Megumi's team. The curse user tells the newcomer to read the room as Nanami wraps his necktie around his fist and walks toward the curse user.
Shigemo tries to show that he has a hostage in Akari Nitta but she crawled up the escalator while he was distracted. While he expresses that he's sad that she's got away, Nanami appears directly behind him. He asks Shigemo how many curse users there are and where they're located. Shigemo turns around quickly to slash Nanami in the shoulder, claiming he doesn't know. He tries to follow up with a kick but it feels like hitting a stone wall. Nanami doesn't budge an inch and he's not cut at all either, surprising the assailant.
"Where and how many of you are there?"
Nanami repeats his question, asking where and how many enemies there are. Shigemo is about to claim he doesn't know again but Nanami uses his Ratio Technique to create a weak point in his opponent's body and backhands him across the room with incredible strength. Shigemo tumbles through the air and crashes into a wall behind Nobara.
Surprised, Nobara's jaw drops in reaction to Nanami's strength. Shigemo bleeds profusely from his face as his legs shake and he's barely able to stand. He believes he should have died and credits his cursed technique for saving his life. He wants to run but Nanami grabs his hair and repeats his question once again. Before Shigemo can even answer Nanami delivers a ferocious body shot that slams Shigemo into the wall behind him and cracks it from the impact.
Shigemo's concequences.
This blow causes Shigemo to violently vomit blood. With his life in very imminent danger, the curse user calls his cursed tool to rescue him. It flies through the air in an attempt to stab Nanami from behind, but Nobara nails it to the wall with great accuracy. Shigemo tells her to stay out of it but Nanami interrupts and grabs him by the throat. Instead of repeating the question again, Nanami reveals he found several dead managers on his way here. He lifts his fist and charges it with cursed energy, asking if Shigemo is responsible.
Yuji notices a large crowd of civilians under attack.
Terrified, the helpless murderer apologizes but it's too late for that. Nanami hits him again with his cursed technique, smashing the curse user's face and leaving him in an unconscious bloody heap. Nobara is amazed by Nanami's strength, noting that he is exactly the model of what it means to be a true grade 1 jujutsu sorcerer. He walks away from the defeated curse user and tells Nobara they need to find Akari.
Meanwhile, Yuji dashes through the streets of Shibuya. He runs over a bridge and notices civilians down below being attacked by transfigured humans. He can't leave the but there isn't enough time to save everyone in this massive crowd either. However, Yuji hears a familiar speech pattern that might be able to save the day. Toge Inumaki arrives with a megaphone in hand. He speaks to the entire crowd with his cursed speech, commanding everyone not to move.
Shortly after helping Toge rescue the civilians, Yuji enters Shibuya Station at 10:10 P.M. Unbeknowst to Yuji, Choso waits inside the station to confront his brothers' killer.
