Summary[]
In celebration of the movie's release, a bonus chapter depicts the Jujutsu High first-years in 2017 working at a cosmetics shop as their part-time job after they used up their savings on gourmet food.
Plot Details[]
After spending all their savings on gourmet ingredients, outings, and cookware, the Tokyo Jujutsu High first-years are in desperate need of money. Shoko recommends they work part-time at Tamatina Castle, a cosmetic shop ran by her friend that pays a daily wage. The four are then seen changing into their uniforms at the shop as the owner instructs them on their jobs before leaving.
The door bell for the store rings, signalling that a customer has arrived. Maki and Panda greet them enthusiastically and loudly, overshadowing Yuta and Toge's quieter greetings. The customer is revealed to be Utahime, who was in Tokyo for a mission and wanted to redeem a coupon at the store. After Yuta shows appreciation for her work as a sorcerer, Utahime wonders if the polite Yuta really is related to the abrasive Gojo. An advertisement showing Gojo is then inserted into the panel at the behest of Toho Animation.
As Utahime browses the store's products, Panda asks why she needs to buy and mix several products instead of buying a single expensive one. Utahime answers that skin care cannot be underestimated once women enter their thirties, using a bottle of beauty oil as an example to demonstrate that skin moisture is inversely proportional to age. Continuing her rant, much to the students' annoyance, Utahime points out that a woman's age shows through their décolletage. Unfamiliar with the word, Yuta quietly asks Maki what it meant, who incorrectly informs him that it appeared in the Castle in the Sky, referencing Goliath, much to Utahime's chagrin.
Panda then begins talking about parboiled eel, confusing Utahime since they are in a cosmetics shop. Upon realizing the students can cook and clean fish, Utahime calls Shoko and asks if the first-years could take care of something she was gifted from her hometown tax. Finishing her call, Utahime informs the students that they will be responsible for cooking and cleaning a long-tooth grouper for dinner at Shoko's place later. As she leaves the store to buy alcohol, Utahime asks the students what they want to drink later, who collectively answer cola since they are underaged. Utahime offers to treat them to food in consideration of the students' financial situation before happily leaving. Hearing this, the students wonder what their wage is and calls up the store owner, who informs them that their hourly pay is 600 yen, 358 yen lower than the minimum wage in Tokyo.
