The Bath (
Description
Originally, the Bath was used on items treasured as family heirlooms to transform them into cursed tools as a method of keeping away any external threats. It required ten months and ten days of soaking in a solution of cursed energy created from crushing and straining poisonous creatures together using a process known as kodoku.[1] Uraume constructed a bath by applying this method to cursed spirits.
Usage

Sukuna using the Bath to gain more control over Megumi's body.
Uraume reconstructed the Bath ritual for Sukuna to gain complete control over his vessel. They had plans to recreate the ritual even before Sukuna took over Megumi Fushiguro's body. By the time Sukuna reunited with Uraume, his subordinate had already created a bath using the Zenin clan's disciplinary pit. Megumi was able to resist Sukuna from within his body and impede his cursed energy output. This forced Sukuna to "polish" his vessel as a means to obtain uninhibited control over it.[2][3]
By carefully pinning cursed spirits and freezing their core parts, Uraume was able to mince them into pieces that were finely strained into the requisite solution of cursed energy. Soaking in it allowed Sukuna "to be near evil" and it submerged Megumi's soul, making him unable to resist.[4]
Trivia
- Kodoku (
蠱 毒 Kodoku?), is a Japanese derivative of gu, an ancient Chinese witchcraft that pits poisonous creatures against one another in a pot. The venomous animals and insects devour one another until only the deadliest remains.
