Akuro-o Otake ( (あく) () (おう) (おお) (たけ) Akuro-ō Ōtake?) was a special grade rebel spirit ( (はん) (れい) hanrei?) controlled by Kenjaku using Cursed Spirit Manipulation.[1] It was exorcised by Fumihiko Takaba in his fight with Kenjaku in the Lake Gosho Colony.

Kenjaku summoned Akuro-o Otake during his battle against Takaba. However, it was immediately exorcised after Takaba ran it over with a truck manifested through his innate technique Comedian.[2]

  • Akuro-o Otake's namesakes are two demons from Japanese mythology, both thought to have rebelled against Sakanoue no Tamuramaro, the first shōgun of Japan:
    • Akuro-ō ( (あく) () (おう) Akuro-ō?), a demon from Mutsu Province's folklore, thought by many to have been a demonization of Aterui, a chieftain of the indigenous Emishi people.
    • Ōtakemaru ( (おお) (たけ) (まる) Ōtakemaru?), a kijin (oni of deific strength) held to be one of Japan's Three Great Evil Yōkai, alongside Tamamo-no-Mae and Shuten-dōji.
